Self published in faded blue stapled illustrated wraps. [24 pp.]. VG+. Concerns astrology and the anticipated appearance of Halley's Comet in 1986. "Astrologers, no doubt, will pursue the meaning of the upcomining arrival of Halley and incorporate its meaning into their interpretive techniques.Astrologers will need to be educated to the essence, physical dynamics and interpretive data about comets. It would seem likely that astrologers will be interviewed by the media with increased frequency to quell a nervous, yet skeptical public of an event which will assuredly draw mass attention. Astrologers will be called upon to do things such as reassure the public that in the 29 appearances of Halley which have been recorded that the world did not end."No copies in commerce or in OCLC. Book
Trade Paperback. Condition: New. Victor Serge (1890-1947) was an anarchist who initially supported he Russian Revolution. More important, he was also a writer of rare integrity, who left behind a remarkable eyewitness record in fiction, journalism, and above all his masterwork, Memoirs of a Revolutionary. In it he tells the story of how the Russian Revolution unfolded, swept up an entire nation, and eventually failed. The book begins in 1906, with Serge describing his impoverished, idealistic days as an activist in the left-wing movements of Europe; it ends with the years 1936 to 1941 after his release from exile to a remote city in a time of famine, expulsion from the Soviet Union, escape from Nazi agents in Paris, and flight to Mexico as a political refugee. More than a personal memoir, this insiders history of the revolution and its allied upheavals fills in the human details that add to our understanding of how mass movements take place, how governments stand and fall, how individuals survive in struggles between ideologies. It is a human memoir and, though set in an inhumane time, during a clash among powerful ideals, it is a humane memoir. NEW copy, still shrinkwrapped!.

The Malvern School of Art flourished under the Moodys (daughter succeeding father as Principle) and attracted many artists and visiting lecturers, such as Laura Knight, Henry Carr, John Ward and Henry Rushbury. The majority of the Press's publications were printed on a 1858 Columbian Press n. 670 and the remainder on an Adana Hand Press. The Malvern Hills College Press was an artisan press that is very little known, all their publications being in very small editions and rare. These examples from the Press were from the studio archive of Victor Hume Moody and his daughter, Catherine.
