Newsprint Folio. Condition: Good+. First Edition. Folio. Pp. 64 (pp. 16 each supplement.) Illustrated with halftone photo reproductions, display advertising. Minimal age toning, fore edges ruffled, folds chipped and weakened. Special sections promoting the city on the occasion of the 1935 Potlatch and Fleet Week summer festival. These were distributed with the Sunday paper and also available wrapped and mailed. The Seattle Potlatch Festival was first organized by civic clubs in 1911 as the Golden Potlatch Festival to lure visitors and boost the economy, then went on hiatus between 1914 and 1934. It was again revived post-WWII as Seafair. Preserved in a clear archival pouch with acid-free backing. .

Sheet (approximately 14x36cm) printed one side only, of an article originally printed in "The Seattle Daily Times" January 19, 1904. very good Account of the frauds perpetrated by the agent of a British Syndicate hired to buy up mining claims in the Yukon. Mr. Torrance "a western man." bought worthless property that he salted, was an extravagant spender, and when the syndicate sent a mining engineer to inspect the properties he reported that all he found was "sawed wood." O.C.L.C locates only one copy at Yale.
