An artist's look at the fauna, flora and inhabitants of Southern Arizona, Baja Calfironia and the Mexican state of Sonora. Covers the Seri and Hohokum Indians and Padre Kino and his missions as well as cacti, lizards, scorpions, camping and game-bird hunting. Mustard endpapers illustrated with a band of quail, front and back. In pencil: out of print and previous owner's price; also initials E5WB. Cloth covers are half red and half beige with green illustration of a shrub in front. One corner is slightly rubbed. Spine is dark green with bright gilt lettering. Slight rubbing trace at the top. Red edge fading a little at the top also. Dust jacket is red and black with desert scene in front and a medallion enclosing a bunch of grape-looking fruit on the back. Traces of rubbing across the middle and along the edges. Small tears at the top and a tiny one at the bottom. Price-clipped. Bookseller label affixed on the inside. In Brodart sleeve.
