Dust jacket is worn at folds and along top edge. Small chips missing from top edge of DJ spine and corners. There is a piece of tape on the underside of the DJ holding a short closed tear (< 1/2 inch) on the spine. DJ is lightly soiled. ; A record of the exhibition prepared for the Sesquicentennial of the Louisiana Purchase by the Cabildo, or Louisiana State Museum in 1953. This is one of the original limited first editions printed in 1953 and signed by all three authors (No. 168/200). The authors signatures are located on the front endpaper. There is also an inscription signed by Samuel Wilson Jr at the top of the endpaper. Illustrated with many black & white photographs of images, including maps, from the exhibit. Blue cloth coverboards in good condition. The text is clean and unmarked. The spine is tight. Dust jacket is Illustrated dust jacket is worn but complete and protected in a new mylar cover.
