    Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. No Jacket. A cardboard carton which contains these 6 items: 1. an 8 1/2 x 11" sheet of red paper covered with cartoons of lambs, etc. text at top begining: "(hey kids) it's weird; very eerie indeed: lambs after midnight.[.]", captions, with lambs doing various things; this sheet, which is at the bottom of the box shows a little very minor creasing. 2. a rolled up sheet of 8 1/2 x 14" light blue paper, tied with a black cord & with more printed lamb cartoons & captions; text at top begining: "my very dear leetle children (shhhh) tis unusual indeed.very eerie: lambs after midnight. [.] featuring a Christmas tree, etc., franny sambold printed in lower corner of design. Fine. 3. a 4" high x 3 1/2" across toy lamb made with cut-out, black painted flat wooden legs, tail & wooden head & ears, with applied red cheeks, & eyes, nostrils & teeth carefully painted on; the body has then been covered with a thick covering of unbleached white lamb's wool & a small, hand painted working bell has been hung around its neck with a small, tied dark purple ribbon. 4. a copy of a miniature book: "multilingual lamb coloring dictionary"; this is a 22 panel accordion folded book with printed words in 4 languages & small designs meant to be colored, these are on smaller white paper squares mounted on the olive paper accordion folds; this is bound between 2 2 1/8 x 2 1/8"' pieces of unfinished wood with a multicolored, painted wooden cut-out word: Baaa mounted on front wooden cover & a green suede square mounted on the back cover holding in place a 16" multicolored cord, each end ending in colored wooden beads either round or bell-shaped in form & a small jingle bell; the bottom of back book cover is marked & signed in pencil: * fold-out m-l l dictionary [.] (c) by f. samblod; this book is accompanied by 5. a 2 1/2 x 1 3/4" plastic & blue surfaced metal topped water color paint box with 6 color tablets & a small paint brush for use with the coloring book (paint box was made in England); a small gold paper cut-out of a lamb has been applied to the top of this box. Lamb, book & paint box are in fine condition. 6. is a printed card as follows: contents of 4 language 3 x 4" printed & illustrated folded blue paper card (with drawing of lamb with bell & heart on front): "Season's greetings from your new multilingual lamb who can speak many languages and loves to listen to stories or dreams or homework in any language you know. your multilingual lamb already speaks spanish, italian, french and english but could learn any other language you might like to teach it.even latin or fuzzelbweez! it's a curious critter & loves to watch and listen. other people may think it's only saying 'baaaa'.but you'll know your multilingual lamb is speaking in new and different words from many languages. ! ole! evviva! en garde! pretty swell! [drawings of: a heart, a star, a bell] and rounded up exclusively for macaroni by franny samblod (c) 1985". Fine. We have been unable to determine the number of these sets that were produced (presumably) as a holiday greeting; Sold together only; the above 6 pieces as described. These 6 items are stored in a 12 1/4 x 9 1/4 x 2" brown cardboard shipping carton with printed mailing label of University of Iowa/Windhover Press, sent to a Cleveland, Ohio art gallery; stamps & cellophane mailing tape, mailing marks on carton, which is still in acceptable condition. This may be a carton that was used to store these items by the former owner. Signed by Author(s).
