As Saskatchewan grew to be 50 years old in 1965, one of the schools in Saskatoon undertook a living social studies course - COMPILING historical notes on 11 named streets near the school. This project of 108 pages grew out of that. Beginning with ONE MAP, it lists alphabetically approx. 400 names and origins of those names. Royal, military and (local) political figures often affected the naming. You will see Riel Crescent, John East Avenue, Drinkle Street, Grey Place and Bow Court - among others. UNillus. Appeal on back cover for more INFO on 20 names of specific streets. Cond : Paper wrappers are burgundy with black lettering and red and cream decoration. Portraits of G.Simpson, J. Clinkskill and J. East on cover. Minor rubbing, corners and edges are sharp. Minor creasing, very minor soiling, colours bright, binding tight, spine fine. NO names, marks, tears, creases NOR folds. Giftable !
