(Concerning 'Sodom,' the play attributed to Rochester but denied by many as falsely attributed, Duncan calls it "a filthy and illiterate piece," and says that he has "laboured through this obscene doggerel and there cannot be the slightest doubt that Rochester is not the author. It was impossible for him to write three lines without spilling his wit or displaying his competence as a literary craftsman."). Cream cloth, 143 pages (including notes, bibliography), frontispiece.
