Book First Edition
Condition: Sehr gut. Original wrappers, 20 pp., 4 plates and several illustrations in the text, staples rusty with small stains around this area, otherwise very good condition with original bidding form still loosely inserted. Extremely scarce wartime stamp auction catalogue. This issue comprises the first part of The Bailey Correspondence of Tibet - Eric Bailey decided to sell the cover of the letters he wrote mostly to his parents and received from them during the Younghusband mission and later, when he acted as Trade Agent at Gyantse. The collection is described on pp. 15 - 19 and laid the foundation of the philatelic knowledge of British stamps used in Tibet. Very rare, we do not find any copy in a public library. Sprache: Englisch Gewicht in Gramm: 550.
