Unpaginated, four pages (one leaf folded into quarters and printed on four sides), complete. One tipped-in color plate, a portrait of Bodoni, complete. A keepsake that pays tribute to Giambattista Bodoni (1740-1813), an Italian printer, typographer, type designer, compositor, and publisher. Bodoni worked in Parma and was considered a master printer. He achieved celebrity status in his career, and people flocked to see him at work in his studio. Benjamin Franklin, a fellow printer, even wrote him a fan letter. This keepsake was printed by the noted Bay Area printer, John Henry Nash. Colophon printed at bottom on front: "This keepsake is sent out by the Zellerbach Paper Company to the friends and patrons of the house. The oil painting of Bodoni was specially done by Henry Raschen. The text is by Edward F. O'Day. Printed by John Henry Nash of San Francisco in December, MCMXXV.".
