Book
Decorative Cloth. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. Henry Evison (illustrator). This is a story about two boys in the jungle of India. The author states in the Author's Note: A great deal of what is written in this book is quite true and taken from my own experience in the places named. There is a fictitious tale woven into it, but soome of the more unlikely happenings are the true ones." This copy has no publishing date but is definitely an older copy. The book contains 160 pages followed by 16 pages advertising book titles and authors for boys and girls. The pages are printed on thick brown paper and are free of all writing. It appears that the frontispiece, a color picture of a boy shooting a tiger, has been inserted. The binding is tight but the back cover is coming loose. The khaki cloth cover is stamped in black and shows two boys climbing a tree on the front. The spine has the title and author and the head of a tiger. There is considerable wear to the cover along the edges of the spine and the corners and there is a tear along the top rear edge of the spine.
