Ernest Francis Udny (1853-1935) was born in France in 1853, the son of George Richard Udny and Anne Lydia Udny (nee Tomkins). Udny married Ethel Udny (nee Forbes) (1862-1928) in 1890. He was a Civil Servant, working for the General Post Office in London. Udny also wrote books under the pseudonym of "Francis Adyar", including The Christian Mysteries and the Liberal Catholic Church (Robertson and Mullens Limited, Melbourne, 1938). ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall.
