Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Ian Wallace - Photography (illustrator). 1st Edition. Hard cover pictorial boards, without flaw. 5.5 X 9" 120 pages. Tempting, easily-achievable food is the essence of this book with inspiration from many corners of the world. A delicious dip represents food at its most convivial and undemanding. Dips offer a versatile and truly sociable way in which to enjoy great food and good times with friends. The most basic of foods can become truly exquisite when dressed quite simply with a dollop of natural, enticing flavours. Creamy golden butter, a generous dollop of tangy chutney or a fruity salsa can give new character and bring the flavours of a far-off country magically to your table. And a drizzle of something quite simple can transform an everyday dish into a special and well-loved treat. The drizzle recipes are much less complicated than a classic sauce but they are rich with exciting and tempting flavours. Make it fun and enjoy!.

Oblong large format hardcover, 26 x 33 cm , 114 pages, illustrated, light general wear. 125 years ago, Australia did not have the network of roads and railways it does today, and shipping was fundamental to the development of our nation. Newcastle was one of the key ports in the system, rapidly growing into an industrial powerhouse. In 1886, as sail was replaced by steam, an enterprising man named George Henry Varley saw where the future lay and founded G.H. Varley, the ship repair company that today still proudly bears his name. He opened a small workshop at 93 King Street, Newcastle and hung out a shingle proudly proclaiming his skills as 'coppersmith, brass finisher, plumber, gasfitter'. Ship repair quickly became the backbone of his business. 125 years later, the business remains a privately-owned family business, proud of its place in the history of Newcastle.

The Willard InterContinental Washington, commonly known as the Willard Hotel, is a historic luxury Beaux-Arts[ hotel located at 1401 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Downtown Washington, D.C. The current hotel was founded by Henry Willard in 1847, when he leased six buildings, combined them into a single structure, and enlarged it into a four-story hotel he renamed Willard's Hotel. For many years the Willard was the only hotel from which one could easily visit all of downtown Washington, and consequently it has housed many dignitaries during its history.
