Book
Couverture rigide. Condition: Bon. Cambridge, printed at the Riverside Press, Houghton, Mifflin & Co, 1892, special edition limited to 250 copies (each volume numbered no. 76), large paper edition, hardcovers, velum spine with paper title piece, gray paper on boards, about 8 ¾ X 5 ¾ inches, (lxxxiii) 111, 432, 193, 481, 224, (viii) (226-544), (ix) 264 and (vi) 268-456) pages, illustrated with a portrait frontispiece in the first volume. We will find on the first flyleaf of the first volume a handwritten inscription signed by the hand of George E. Woodberry dated 1892. Our 8 volumes are in good condition or better; complete and solidly bound but showing some yellowing of the spines as well as some small surface rubbing on the title pieces (also a few light stains). The boards are fine showing only occasional small, fairly discreet stains. The interiors are in excellent condition EXCEPT for the endpapers where the glue used to glue them seems to have oxidized, thus browning the paper and transmitting this browning to the ffeps. Otherwise, for the rest there is nothing to report that is worthy of mention. As ABebooks only allows us 5 images, don't hesitate to ask for others, specifying a little what aspects you want to see. PLEASE NOTE: As this set weighs more than 5kg, shipping costs may be increased depending on the shipping destination.
