Wrappers. Exhibition catalog. Small 8vo, 32 pp. Show took place from November 4-29, 1986. An introduction on the verso of the front wrapper is the only text. The catalog consists of a reduced-size reproduction of the portfolio of lithographs that accompanied the 1937 exhibition of the American Abstract Artists at the Squibb Gallery. Per the back inside cover, paintings, drawings, and prints by a dozen artists connected to the AAA (Stuart Davis, Burgoyne Diller, John Ferren, Suzy Frelinghuysen, Albert E. Gallatin, Balcomb Greene, Gertrude Greene, Alice Trumbull Mason, Jan Matulka, George L. K. Morris, Ad Reinhardt, and Charles G. Shaw) constituted the actual exhibition. Very good condition. John Ferren contributed to the seminar "The Nature of Creative Thinking," also listed by us.
