The interior of the book is crisp and tight, with no marks or signatures, and very few signs of previous use. The illustrated yellow covers are bright, with light wear at edges and corners. The rear panel of the dust jacket has a notice that the book is "An approved selection of Parents' Magazine's Book Club for Beginning Readers." The jacket is only in Good condition, with light edgewear, folds and shallow chips. The attached pictures should give a better idea of condition. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover.
