Condition: VG in VG DJ. Color photos (illustrator). 1st ptg. Wright's architectural vision led to astonishing changes in the construction and layout of domestic, public, and religious buildings during his long career. In particular, the architect's questioning of the very character of traditional architecture led to innovative solutions to the problems of interior space. He eliminated th fox-like division of rooms ensuring that his houses contained spacious living and dining areas. He opened up rooms by omitting the walls that divided them, boundaries instead becoming established by daily use and habit. DJ slight edge wear.

Condition: VG in VG DJ. Color photos (illustrator). 1st ed. From 1917 to 1924 Wright spent much of his time in California and created buildings that remain classics of American architecture. He used an innovative bu8lding process he called his "textile block system" constructed with precast concrete blocks which were then bound together at the site with steel rods and poured concrete. The blocks were molded with decoration on both sides and could be inset with glass to allow light to filter through in interesting patterns.
