Seller: John McCormick, Mississauga, ON, Canada
First Edition
Hard Cover. Condition: Poor. No Jacket. ----------hardcover, no dust jacket. The London publisher Chatto & Windus is also mentioned on the title page. The book is undated, but, from the ads for other books at the back of the book, a publication date of 1897-1900 is assumed. The book is in red cloth with an attractive gilt and gray figure of a woman in what appears to be nurse's garb on the front boards, plus gilt lettering to the front boards and spine. The spine is faded, there is a waterstain, wear and dustiness, but the big problem is that the page block is almost entirely separated from the covers. Thus, a poor reading copy.
