Hardcover. Condition: Fine. No Jacket. Measures 6 ¼ in. x 9 in. 240 pp. Illustrated with b/w photos, and having the original illustrated colored wraps. Bound in full brown morocco leather with an inlay on the front of a male in traditional costume, and an inlay on the rear of a female in traditional costume. The inlays are of different colored leathers. Background tooling front and rear. Gold-stamped titling on the spine. The inside of each cover shows a geometric pattern of different colored leathers; decorated end-papers bound in. In a slipcase with brown-toned marbled paper, black leather edging, and lined with black felt. The full name binder stamp is in gilt on the inside of the back cover. The text is in French. Bearing the design bookplate of Antonio Barrette (1899-1968), 18th Premier of Quebec. In 1990 the University of Toronto held an exhibit of Blanchet's work and published "Fine Bookbinding: The Art of Jacques Blanchet." Weight is 3 lbs.
