Thus, 1938; full blue cloth; titling blocked in gilt (bright) to spine; xviii+[ii]+214pp. SIGNED by the Editor - noted academic and scholar of German literature, Roy Pascal (1904-1980) - in blue-black ink to front free-endpaper. Spine crushed at tail, but robust/clean/very bright; slightly soiled boards lightly bumped at corners, but robust/bright; top edge slightly foxed/slightly dusty; page edges lightly tanned, but pages clean/crisp/bright; lightly soiled dj. slightly sunned/lightly scuffed on spine, with small chips to top/bottom edges - and very small loss (approx. 5mm x 5mm) to top of spine - but quite bright. Binding firm, all intact. A few annotations (mainly in pencil), possibly made by the Editor himself, to early pages; 'ed. PASCAL' written (small) in ink to spine of dj. G+ in G+ unclipped dj.
