A very scarce signed first edition of this murderous tale, inscribed by the author to the noted and influential Irish actor Richard Harris. A very scarce work. The first edition of this work. Signed by the author to the title page; 'Richard Harris, Savoy, 28/7/94. Richard, I'd love you to play the crazed, murderous, brilliant brain surgeon, poor Broukal (p.94), Dave MacSweeney'. Richard Harris was a noted Irish actor who passed in 2002. He was well known for his portrayals of Frank Machin in 'This Sporting Life', King Arthur in the 1967 film 'Camelot', and for his role of Albus Dumbledore in the first two Harry Potter films, before his death. This book was signed at the Savoy, where Harris lived for the last several years of his life. The author has made a note to the margin of page 5, 'But she could not resist saying 'Christ darling, please put in the other half'. Eight lines highlighted in yellow on pages 3, 4, and 5. It is unclear whether Harris or the author highlighted these lines. Publisher's 'with our compliments' slip loosely inserted. In the original unclipped dustwrapper. 'Kill the Cuckoo' is a tense novel about a serial killer who is at large across the States and Europe. Written by David MacSweeney. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original publisher's unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, fine, with only a very light amount of bumping to the head and tail of the spine.
