First Edition. This copy was signed by many family members on the occasion of a celebration in August 2006 at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Max Delbrück. In addition to the signed book, there are two programs from this event (details below). The family members who signed the book are all four children of Max Delbrück--daughters Niki (Nicola) Salmon and Ludina Delbrück Sallam, and sons Jonathan and Tobi--three grandchildren--Elita, Lina, and Max (children of Jonathan)--and two spouses of children--Yuri Delbruck (wife of Jonathan) and El-Sayed Sallam (husband of Ludina). In addition there are signatures of (1) the two authors of the book Ernst Peter Fischer and Carol Lipson, (2) two scientists who were close colleagues of Delbrück--Norman H. Horowitz, who had signed this copy previously as he died in 2005, and Gunther Stent--and (3) Detlev Ganten. Here are details of the two programs. First program: "Max Delbruck 100/ August 26-August 27, 2006/ Celebrating the Centennial of Max Delbruck's birth (September 4, 1906) Grace Auditorium, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory August 26, 2006."
