Y der mit A bis Z bezeichneten 25 Ex. de tête auf Arches à la cuve, mit der vom Künstler num. u. signierten Suite der Holzschnitte der zweiten Auflage, und in der Leinenkassette, welche nur diesen 25 Ex. beigegeben wurde (neben 150 Ex. auf vélin bouffant und 21 auf Vergé antique). - 1946 erschien in insgesamt 412 Ex. eine zweite Auflage des Werks mit veränderten Holzschnitten. Diese wurden in signierten Abzügen auf Japanpapier dieser Vorzugsausgabe der ersten Auflage beigegeben, und nur dieser liegt eine Orig.-Zeichnung des Künstlers bei. - Leichte Abklatschbräunungen der Holzschnitte, wenige Seiten mit schwachen kleinen Stockfleckchen im untersten Rand, ansonsten tadellos erhalten.

L'un des 25 exemplaires de tête lettrés (c) sur Arches à la cuve, avant 150 vélin bouffant et 21 Vergé antique. 1 dessin original et 12 bois gravés originaux de Henry Bischoff: 4 hors-texte (dont frontispice), vignette de titre, 6 lettrines et un bandeau. D'un notaire-vigneron de 19 ans, pas commode selon ces Messieurs de Berne.Notre volume est signé par les auteurs (la justification n'y mentionne que l'artiste) et enrichi de la suite des quatre bois hors texte du second tirage (les plus purs, graphiquement), signés et justifiés sur Japon. Le dessin original, un lavis en sépia, est une variante de projet du hors texte figurant page 27.
