Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. B/W Photographs (illustrator). First American. These 82 pages of British Columbia (ranch) history were written for family consumption only. (The writer could have done with an editor.) The central figure is Benjamin Franklin Young (and his wife Annie Ellen Mackin Young) who came to the Cache Creek area as a young man in 1870. (He has Lincoln and Civil War ties in his native U.S.) They established a ranch near Enderby in 1903. Their hard work and social class soon made them historic figures in British Columbia. Text assisted by b/w photos. Cond : Paper wrapper is white with black lettering and features a photo of `The Ranch House '. Light wear, light general soiling.Tight in binnding. No names. No tears. One date in the text has been `hand-doctored'. Curious and collectible piece of Okanagan history. Quote (p. 19) : " ._._. and of John Pringle of Grand Prairie.
