The mauscript features paintings of each of the King?s ships with details of guns, shot and related equipment. Two of the rolls were given to Samuel Pepys by Charles II. Pepys had them cut and bound to form a volume which is now in his library. This edition reassembles the three parts of the Anthony Roll for the first time in 300 years. With each illustration is the text given with its original spelling.
