It is intended for artists who need knowledge of the development and history of illustration, particularly in the children's book field; for those with fine arts training who need to discover the scope of technical or commercial illustration problems; for those with technical or commercial training who need to respond to a fine arts approach; and for authors, teachers, students, and librarians who are interested in" children's book illustration in general.
