Condition: Very Good. Twenty-two vintage press photographs of trains, railroad scenes, and other images related to railroads, trains, locomotives. Varying moods and subjects, train wrecks, model trains, subway, Spokane rail workers, B&O car-carriers, streetcars, Union Pacific, New York Central leverman, arts & crafts Southern Pacific, mountain tours, interurbans, monorail, wheels. Nearly all with ink or pencil notations and associated press marks (rubber-stamps, mimeo snipes or affixed press clippings) on the versos, and a few with visible cropping notations on the image side. Most were published in newspapers or related periodicals, many of the best photographs taken by enthusiasts as well as documented photographers. Dates range 1947 to 1995. Photos sizes 8 x 10 (16) and smaller variations (6); black/white (19), color (3). Good to Very Good, most with toning and faint wrinkling, brief bruises on the versos, but all suitable for framing.
