He held three PhDs, (history, library science, and education). Before arriving at the Claremont Colleges as the first Head Librarian at Honnold Library, Davies was the former assistant librarian in the Bancroft Library at the University of California, Berkeley. NO remainder marks. David Davies had been a member of the faculty of the Library School at California State University, Fullerton. He brought an enthusiasm for book arts and printing which has proved to be contagious. As a result the Orangerie Press was formed.
