There are no signs of any prior use or wear.

Green cloth hardbound cover, with a heraldic device, blind stamped on centre front, (an image of a lion and the words 'THE COMPLETE LIBRARY'). Gilt lettering on the spine is clear and not worn. There is shelf and edgewear consistent with the age of the publication, and a water mark on the rear hardcover. The page block is rough cut. Internally, there is foxing to endpapers and pastedowns. Previous owner's details penned to front pastedown. The title page is an illustration, incorporating the title and a drawing in red and black ink, and is clear and fresh. The pages remain well bound, the text is clear, and there are no annotations noted. CN. Used.
