There is shelf and edgewear consistent with the age of the publication, and a water mark on the rear hardcover. The page block is rough cut. Internally, there is foxing to endpapers and pastedowns. Previous owner's details penned to front pastedown. The title page is an illustration, incorporating the title and a drawing in red and black ink, and is clear and fresh.
