Hardcover. Condition: Fine. No Jacket. Square, solid copy of this book with gilt illustration of a shell on army green boards with green lettering on the front board. Gilt lettering on the spine. Spine top and bottom has some very minor rubbing. Corners are near perfect with a tiny bit of rubbing. Small dark stain at end of spine under the word MacMillan. Frontispiece has illustrations of a marine slug, a striped shore crab,a mollusk, and a sea squirt. Key to illustrations is printed on front tissue paper. Some foxing on enpapers where paper was glued to boards.
