These volumes were conducted byProfessor John Eadie, John Francis Waller, Professor W. J. M. Rankine, Edwin Lankester and Professor Francis Bowen. The volumes were edited by John Francis Waller.These memoirs are written by writers of eminence in the various branches of literature, science and art.Some of the contributors to volume I are Edward Baines, John Stuart Blackie and Rebecca More.Some of the contributors to volume II are Hugh Blackburn, George Bullen and John M.
