Condition: near fine. 1st Edition. 111pp. Royal octavo. Bound in tan buckram with gold gilt lettering stamped to the front board and spine. Copyright information on front pastedown. Signed by both Jim Nicoll and his wife, Marion Nicoll, on the title page. Illustrated dust jacket has some rubbing to the panels and creasing along the top edge. Internally clean and, overall, in near fine condition. near fine This is a wonderful selection of poetry and prose by the Alberta born Jim Nicoll. Jim Nicoll studied to be a civil engineer, but his passion was in his work as a poet and writer and eventually as a painter as well; his wife, Marion Nicoll, was also a painter. Both he and Marion exhibited their art during the 1960s-1970s and were heavily involved in the art community in Alberta. This book also contains some of Marion Nicoll's artwork and is signed by both Jim and Marion on the title page.
