Small, neat handwritten control number ("35") on title page, plasticized wrappers are slightly rubbed, particularly along the spine, else near fine. A musical comedy in two acts, based on Wilder's 1954 play *The Matchmaker*, which he had in turn adapted from his 1938 farce *The Merchant of Yonkers*. It opened on Broadway with Carol Channing in the title role in 1964 after a Detroit preview, and won 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score. It was the basis for the Oscar Award-winning film of the same name, and for multiple revivals. Rare. *OCLC* appears to locate no copies of this script.
