An anthology of Jefferies' essays and articles, some previously published and others appearing for the first time, with introduction and notes by Samuel Looker. Small white mark to the rear panel of the boards which have a few other slight patches of discolouration and slight edge wear but are otherwise clean and unmarked. Page edges a little browned and there is light browning and spotting to the endpapers with a little surface tearing over the front hinge at the top of the endpapers but the pages are otherwise unmarked. Jacket has a little chipping at the top and bottom of the spine and to the corners and the spine is browned. First printing.
