Journal are daily entries of their tour from August 15 - November 11, 1773. Includes the monthly letter of the L.E.C. (laid-in) and six appendices at the end of the journal. Considered a classic of travel writing, a volume of love and deep respect by Johnson's closest friend. Nice copy.
