No severe defects to either volume. Well bound, covers firmly attached. Free of marking, pages pleasingly clean and bright. A limited edition two volume set illustrated by G. W. H Ritiche, 10 etchings in total, with each etching in two states, original and another following on Japanese vellum paper, all with thin paper guards; additional flourish of red and blue ink manuscript style capital letters at the beginning of each chapter. Handmade laid paper with deckle fore- and bottom edges. Nice presswork with broad margins. Limitation page in each volume, each has the hand written name of the publisher.
