Dust jacket in good+, binding and interior in very good+ to near fine condition overall. On the author: Dr. Jakob J. Petuchowski (1925-1991) was Professor of Rabbinics and Jewish Theology at the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born in Berlin ion 1925, he was educated in his native city, and in Scotland, England, and the United States. He held the B.A. Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of London, Rabbinic Ordination, the Master's and PhD degrees from the Hebrew Union College. He had written several books (this one included) in his life time and published more than 250 articles in the fields of Rabbinics and Theology. His contribution appeared in the "Encyclopedia Britannica", the "Hebrew Union College Annual", "Commentary", "Judaism" et.al.
