Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First Edition (NAP). Nice, pebbled leather or faux leather covers with black lettering on the spine. Clean. One small scuff at the front top edge and one small one at the rear bottom edge. Crinkling at the spine ends, two spots of scuffing at the bottom one. A scratch (second photo) on the spine. Light foxing on the page edges, not impacting the actual pages. Very solidly bound book with nicely tight pages and nicely tight covers as well. No binding issues. There is some very light spotting around the margins of the front inside cover and blank front end paper. Same thing, a little more, on the rear inside cover and rear end paper. The pages are quite clean. I saw only two or three spots. There is one page (two sides) with an illustration. The paper is glossy and there is amber spotting at its margins and on both text pages facing the illustration. I didn't see any foxing on any of the other text pages, with the exception of the last page of the index. I didn't see any conspicuous creasing, no turned-down corners or placeholder creases. There are around a dozen consecutive pages that have a scratch/nick just off their outer edge, quite minor, not reaching the print. There are no markings in the book. No attachments of any kind. There is a penned name just off the top edge of the blank front end paper. There is no other writing to be found anywhere in the book. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. There are small losses off both spine ends, not reaching the lettering. There's another loss off the top edge of the front cover. There are a couple of tiny edge tears. The spine is tanned. The flaps are in pretty nice condition, light toning off the top edges, one small tear off the bottom edge of the front flap, a light crease off the top corner of the front flap as well. The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all. It will be fitted with a protective cover after the photos are scanned.
