The date to the back strip tail of this work - 1832 - refers to the publication date of the first edition.With a bookseller's stamp to the half title of volume I and II, and to the frontispiece tissue guard of volume III.A scarce early twentieth century edition of this enormously informative and detailed work. Rebound in full calf, with endpapers renewed. Externally, excellent, but with small hole in leather to tail of front joint. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally clean and bright. Bookseller's stamp to volumes I and II half title, and volume III frontispiece tissue guard. Instances of small worm holes throughout, but with more concentrated worming to the gutters of page 255 of volume I to page 50 of volume II Very Good. book.
