Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. Contemporary full brown leather, worn boards and corners, spine label barely visible reading"Hoyt's Cavalry". Surface crack in leather across the spine about 2" above the base. All said the binding is strong. Internally, [xliv], 255pp with 13 maps and 2 pages of sheet music that are duplicates. Plate 5, 7 and 8 are complete, others are missing pieces to the right of the fold. Music plates appear to be missing similar amounts though it is not clear. Text is clear with only occasional foxing. All of our books are individually inspected and described. Never X-library unless specifically described as such.

Pages are foxed and wrinkled but intact. ; 14 plates at rear. Revised, corrected and enlarged E. Hoyt, Brigade Major and Inspector in the Militia of Massachusetts. The original Discipline for the Cavalry was writen in 1793 by E. Hoyt. Revised in 1813, corrected and enlarged in 1816. Presented to the Officers and soldiers of the Cavalry of the United States. 12 plates of evolutions and 2 plates of trumpet, or bugle signals. A good copy of an early U. S. Cavalry Manual. ; 255 pages.
