Fair to good, externally good with only light edgewear and some modest darkening to the spine, good hinges, sound text block, occasional light foxing to margins, long closed tear to pages 157-160 (no loss of text), a few other closed tears confined to margins, one corner chip. Some of the pages were still connected at the edges (uncut) and the damage likely took place when little fingers tried to get the pages open. Gift notation on front free endpaper, no other markings.
