Condition: Near Fine. Business stationary with letterhead (15 x 15 cm.). The firm was made up of Josiah Hoopes (1832-1904), Abner Hoopes, and George Brinton Thomas. This is a handwritten note to Thomas Jackson, New York, acknowledging receipt of his check for $79.60. Established in 1853, Hoopes, Bro. & Thomas, Cherry Hill Nurseries became Maple Avenue Nursery by 1908 and continued until 1948. In Near Fine Condition: lightly creased; back is lightly soiled.
