Roy Bell grew up on the family ranch in Alberta and when his father passed, Roy tries to save the ranch. He feedlots some of the neighbor's cattle but runs into difficulties especially when a blizzard hits and the cattle are lost. Throughout the story runs the happy thread of the boy's relation to a wild golden horse, the Whistler. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
