First edition. Hardcover. Folio-size. Fine in fine dustjacket just a little worn the the corners (sterling price intact). A wonderfully vibrant photographic study of the peoples and cultural life of tribes in the Horn of Africa, with colour photographs and b/w drawings by an Australian (Fisher) and an American (Beckwith) photographer. This was Ossie Emery's copy ( with his signature and phone number, in pencil on the corner of the front free endpaper). Emery was a Australian photographer (a contemporary of Max Dupain and David Moore) who spent a good deal of his early photographic working-life in Africa. This heavy book will cost considerably more to send overseas, than any default postage rate noted.
