Condition: Used: Very Good. [SIGNED] London: Limited Editions Club, 1938. Small quarto (7" x 10") bound in dark green buckram with a relief design stamped in silver on the front cover. Illustrated with 32 full-page wood engravings by Agnes Miller Parker sketched at the same country church-yard that inspired the poem. One of a total of 1500 copies SIGNED by the artist on the colophon page. Spine faded, light foxing to prelims, slipcase a bit rubbed, else very good overall condition. No marks, NOT EX-LIBRARY. Printed in a limited edition of 1500 copies for members of The Limited Editions Club at the Raven Press. This copy is one of fifteen Presentation Copies signed by Agnes Miller Parker on the colophon and initialed by her, A.F. An embossed press mark indicates that this copy has been printed out of sequence. Bound in dark blue/black buckram with embossed silver decoration on front cover, with silver border lines. Brown spine with silver lettering. Green and black sewn headbands. Untrimmed fore edge and lower page edges. Foreword by Hugh Walpole. Thirty-two full page b/w engravings. Two are tissue guarded. Laid in is a copy of The Monthly Letter of The Limited Edition Club, New York, September 1938. This 4pp newsletter is in vgc and features the production of the book and the work of Agnes Miller Parker. All enclosed within a blue buckram covered slip case with silver lettering on spine. Some shelf wear to the slip case and a tiny hole at the top of the spine. Signed by Illustrator(s).
