This copy is signed by James Doolittle, rather modestly, on the front pastedown under the front flap of the dust jacket. On the upper corner of the opposing page, the book is signed by (Col.) William Bower, a pilot on the famous raid, and by a co-pilot, (Lt.) William Fitzhugh. Fitzhugh signed a second time above his photo on page 141. Finally, the book is signed on page 241 by (Sgt.) Waldo Bither, a Bombardier. There is an inked notation (in an unknown hand) next to his signature which reads. "This Raider's chute opened minutes before ditching". Both the book and its dust jacket are About Near Fine. Black cloth boards have a thumb-nail sized, slightly faded spot on back. Binding is quite solid.
