A scarce Field Manager sales kit and projector to recruit additional Fuller Brush sales representatives, with instructions on how to build a sales force. Fuller Brush Co. salespeople operated across the country, and often their field managers would set up shop and recruit additional salespeople to work under them, from which they could earn commissions. The Viewlax system offered a portable visual and sound multi-media presentation allowing them to demonstrate to the potential Fuller Brush customer what their products could bring. The "Approach" includes specific instructions on smiling, where to set up the sales kit, what works best for the projector, and how to continually edge one's way into the potential client's home. For instance when initially rebuffed and offering the "Free Promotional Gift" just tell them "I'll just step in and leave your gift and look at your . . . (pick up case and step forward)." The two ALS letters from Elmer Ramsey and Larry Grubb in Jan., 1962 from Handley and Clay, WV, were addressed to Carl Margin, at P.O. Box 1545 about the potential job.
