This novel is a reprint of Frank's early German edition. It is written with humor of the earlier age of Frederick II. The illustrations are copies of the original woodplates by a few technical generations; and there are many depictions. The editorial directors of The Readers Club were Clifton Fadiman, Lewis, Carl Van Doren, and Alexander Woollcott. Good. No dust jacket. Slightly warped boards; darkened spine and top edge.
