No Binding. Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Text is in Spanish; handwriting in German. Original black-and-white photo postcard. Postmarked May 21, 1928 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, twice. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2." Title printed at the bottom of the image. "Tarjeta Postal" printed on back. Photographer's information also printed on back: "Foto F. Riudavets - Buenos Aires." A red, five-centavos (5c) stamp of General Jose de San Martin is tipped in on the back. Jose de San Martin (1778-1850) was an Argentine general who helped present-day Argentina, Chile, Peru, and other countries in South America gain independence from the Spanish Empire. Postcard is used. Postcard is very clean and intact except for a bump in the lower-right corner. A Very Good copy. This postcard shows a vista view of Buenos Aires, Argentina. There is neat, calligraphic German handwriting in black ink on the back. Alfred writes to Martha in Junction City, Oregon. Alfred writes briefly to her. There is a notation at the top on back in which Alfred mentions "Hotel Habsburg," which is possibly in Buenos Aires.
