Dr. Loewenstein offers a bibliographical description of the known rehearsal copies in this booklet. Dr. Loewenstein, a Jewish refugee from Hitler's Germany, was instrumental in the inauguration of the Shaw Society. Loewenstein dedicated this publication to "Miss Blanche Patch", Shaw's long-time secretary.
